
Terms
Balcatta Playgroup runs on calendar year, with our year officially commencing on 1st January. We typically model our terms around the school terms, although we do allow our members to attend during the school holidays.
How to Join Balcatta Playgroup
1. Please contact the Enrolment Officer to arrange your trial sessions using the enquiry link below. You get two free trial sessions before deciding to join our playgroup.
2. After your trials, if you'd like to join:
a. Complete the enrolment form below.
b. Complete the Playgroup WA Online Portal registration. You will receive an email to be invited to join Balcatta Playgroup. Please check your spam folder regularly. You will be required to create a login, complete your profile, and pay for the Playgroup WA membership fee (see below).
c. Pay your Balcatta Playgroup membership fee (see below).
Until you complete these steps we cannot secure your enrolment.
Membership Fees
The membership fees are made up of two parts:
1. Playgroup WA Membership Fee - payable on Playgroup WA Membership Portal.
It's a mandatory annual fee of $35 ($15 with concession card) which provides you with insurance to attend playgroups and family membership to Playgroup WA. This fee is due on enrolment at Balcatta Playgroup and each January thereafter (see Playgroup WA website for membership benefits).
2. Balcatta Playgroup Membership Fee - payable directly to Balcatta Playgroup via bank transfer.
Our playgroup operates on an Annual Membership system. Fees are paid upfront and are calculated on a pro-rata basis depending on the term you join. With our membership, all members can enjoy attending up to two sessions per week (~$1.50 per session).

If you decide to leave the playgroup during the year, you can notify our Enrolment Officer via email and we will process a pro-rata refund for any full terms remaining that you will not be attending. The email must be received before the start of the term for the refund to be honoured.
This fee is per family and helps cover the cost of running of our playgroup including:

Toys, craft, and play equipment

Consumables - tea and coffee, stationery, cleaning supplies

Events - Easter, annual Christmas party
Our playgroup is run entirely by parent volunteers. No body is paid to run the playgroup. We ask our members to volunteer to help keep this amazing space going for our children.
